Role Overview:
The IT ERP Manager is a hands-on leader responsible for the ownership, support, and continuous improvement of the company's seven (7) Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP instances across multiple business entities. This role ensures Business Central effectively supports manufacturing, supply chain planning, MRP, procurement, sales order management, inventory, accounting, and reporting. This role operates within a customized Business Central environment and requires quickly understanding existing system behavior, stabilizing operations, and partnering with vendors to incrementally align the platform with best practices. The position combines functional and technical ERP expertise, project delivery accountability, stakeholder management, ERP vendor management, and team leadership to deliver reliable ERP solutions and measurable business improvements.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Own the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP platform and related applications and data integrations, ensuring system stability and availability. This includes hands-on involvement in project delivery, enhancements, customizations, support, and licensing
  • Provide ERP design and configuration expertise for manufacturing operations, supply chain planning, MRP, inventory, purchasing, sales orders, shipments, invoicing, accounting processes and internal controls
  • Lead ERP-related projects and enhancements from request through delivery, ensuring scope, timeline, adoption, and business outcomes are achieved
  • Manage stakeholder relationships; translate business priorities into practical ERP solutions and clear delivery plans
  • Lead, manage, and prioritize work for a small ERP team and manage ERP vendors and third-party solution partners to drive improvements and deliver results
  • Analyze and understand existing system configurations and customizations; identify opportunities to reduce complexity, improve maintainability, and align to Business Central best practices
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Qualifications and Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of progressive ERP experience and expertise in a manufacturing environment, including 3+ years with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
  • Demonstrated experience leading ERP projects or major enhancements, including requirements, solution design, testing, implementation, training, adoption, and support
  • Experience with IT Incident, Problem and Change Management
  • Experience managing a small ERP team, ERP vendors, consultants, and implementation partners to deliver quality outcomes, resolve issues, and meet agreed-upon priorities and commitments
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work directly with business users, managers, and directors to proactively manage expectations and deliver results
  • Preferred experience with intercompany transactions, Mergers & Acquisitions and ERP consolidations
  • Prior experience with Microsoft Navision and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Financials and Supply Chain Management a plus
  • Preferred experience with Business Central add-ons and integrated solutions such as Avalara, Zetadocs, Lanham eShip, EDI, warehouse, and shipping systems, Paperless MV2 or similar MES solutions, Salesforce CRM, data warehouse and Power BI reporting
