Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Cut & Sew Manufacturing)
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING ON LATHES, MILLS, AND/OR CNC MACHINES
Position Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment in a fast-paced cut & sew manufacturing facility. This role supports operational efficiency by ensuring all machinery-including sewing machines, RF welders, lathes, mills, and associated equipment-operates safely and reliably.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial sewing machines, RF welders, and production equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Conduct preventative maintenance (PM) activities to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production issues
- Install, test, and adjust machinery and equipment as needed
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
- Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and company policies
- Assist with facility maintenance as needed
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or certification preferred)
- 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems (wiring, motors, controls)
- Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 - 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in a machine shop, cut & sew, or textile manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with industrial sewing machines and RF welding equipment
- Background in a machine shop or fabrication environment
- Experience with PLCs and automated systems
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels
Work Environment:
- Industrial manufacturing setting (cut & sew production floor)
- Exposure to moving machinery, fabrics, and production materials
