*DIRECTOR OF SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT*
Location: Prince Frederick, Maryland Pay: $120,000-140,000 a year *Work Environment* * Healthcare setting with a mix of office, clinical, and materials management areas * Regular interaction with physicians, clinical staff, vendors, and executive leadership * Fast-paced environment requiring multi-tasking and strategic decision-making *Schedule* * Full-time * Typically Monday-Friday business hours with occasional extended hours based on operational needs *Compensation and Benefits* *Pay Rate:* $120,000-140,000 annually *Duration:* Full-Time If eligible, benefits may include: * Medical, Dental, Vision * Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital coverage * 401(k) Retirement Plan (Pre tax and Roth post tax contributions available) * Voluntary Life & AD&D (employee + dependents) * Short term and long term disability * Health Spending Account (HSA) * Transportation benefits * Employee Assistance Program (EAP) * Time Off / Leave (PTO, Vacation or Sick Leave) *About the Role* * Provides strategic leadership and oversight of all supply chain operations including sourcing, contracting, purchasing, inventory, and value analysis * Serves as a key liaison between supply chain, clinical departments, and executive leadership * Drives cost reduction, operational efficiency, and product standardization while ensuring quality patient care * Leads organizational initiatives related to GPO optimization, data analytics, and process improvement *Key Responsibilities* * Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with organizational and financial goals * Oversee purchasing, contracting, vendor management, and inventory control functions * Lead and support Value Analysis Committees, partnering with clinical leadership on product decisions * Ensure compliance with GPO contracts and locally negotiated agreements * Analyze supply utilization, pricing trends, and financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities * Monitor and improve MMIS systems (e.g., Meditech) and procurement workflows * Oversee recall management to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance * Negotiate vendor contracts and evaluate supplier performance * Manage departmental budget, KPIs, and cost savings initiatives * Lead, mentor, and develop supply chain staff while fostering a collaborative team environment * Drive continuous improvement, automation, and process efficiency initiatives *Required Skills & Experience* * Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field * 7-10+ years of healthcare supply chain, purchasing, or materials management experience * 3-5+ years of leadership experience in a hospital or healthcare setting * Strong knowledge of GPOs, contract management, and healthcare procurement * Advanced analytical skills with experience in Excel and supply chain data analysis * Experience working with MMIS systems such as Meditech * Proven ability to collaborate with physicians and clinical leadership * Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills * Ability to lead change and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment *Top Skills - Must Haves:* * Healthcare supply chain leadership experience * Contract negotiation and vendor management * Value analysis and cost reduction expertise * Advanced data analysis and financial acumen * Strong stakeholder engagement and communication *Nice to Have Skills:* * Master's degree (MBA, MHA, or related field) * CMRP, CSCP, or Lean Six Sigma certification * Experience with Vizient, Premier, or other GPOs * Clinical background (RN, Surgical Tech, or similar) * Experience driving automation and digital transformation in supply chain systems *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Prince Frederick, MD. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/hr.
