Summary:
Responsible for overseeing and directing all aspects of environmental services operations. Develop and execute strategies, policies, and programs to ensure compliance with environmental regulations, promote sustainability, and maintain a clean and safe environment. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions: -Develop and execute the environmental services strategy, goals, and objectives for the organization, aligning them with overall business objectives and sustainability targets. -Oversee and direct all aspects of environmental services operations, including cleaning, waste management, recycling, sustainability initiatives, and maintenance activities. -Provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to a team of environmental services managers, supervisors, and staff, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and performance management. -Ensure compliance with applicable environmental regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies across all environmental services operations. -Collaborate with procurement and finance departments to manage vendor contracts, negotiate pricing, and optimize procurement of supplies and services related to environmental services. -Lead and drive sustainability initiatives, such as energy conservation, waste reduction, and green cleaning practices, to minimize the environmental impact of operations and promote environmental stewardship. -Serve as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, community organizations, and industry partners, addressing environmental concerns, maintaining positive relationships, and ensuring compliance. Education Bachelor's Degree Environmental Sciences required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Experience Cleaning/Janitorial Experience 8-10+ years required and Management/Leadership Experience 5-7 years required and Sustainability Experience 3-5 years required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, waste management practices, cleaning techniques, and safety protocols. - Knowledge of sustainability practices and experience with implementing environmental initiatives. - Proven track record of developing and implementing environmental strategies, programs, and initiatives. - Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders. - Demonstrated ability to analyze complex environmental issues, develop innovative solutions, and make informed decisions. - Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing circumstances in a dynamic environment.
