The MVO must be able to interpret instructions and specifications for mobile equipment operations and complete all required trip documentation accurately. The MVO must also be capable of performing first-echelon maintenance tasks such as changing tires and making limited emergency repairs, including installing an emergency fan belt or replacing an electrical fuse on open highways.
  • The MVO must be in good physical condition when performing driving and related services, particularly during extended periods of time and distance. This position requires light physical effort to operate hand and foot controls, moderate physical effort including the frequent handling of objects in excess of 50 pounds, and considerable physical effort for vehicle maintenance tasks as needed.
  • All personnel must obtain and maintain a Public Trust (Level 3) security clearance.
