Moog Medical Devices Group specializes in designing, manufacturing, and distributing industry-leading enteral feeding and infusion pumps. Through substantial investment in research and development and leveraging our extensive expertise, we meticulously design and develop advanced infusion systems that enhance medication safety, optimize application performance, and effectively reduce medical expenses.

We are seeking a Production Supervisor in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this on-site role, you will report to the Purchasing Production Manager.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Production Manager to assure the production schedule of products is accomplished such that all sales orders may be completed on time. Supervise the assembly and repair of medical device components in accordance with assembly drawings, instructions, and quality standards. Responsible for the training of production leads, assemblers, and service personnel in basic assembly techniques as well as leading daily production activities.

As a Production Supervisor, you will...

  • Provide leadership and supervision for the assembly / repair team to assure efficiency and effectiveness of team members

  • Assist in interviewing, hiring, appraisal, professional development and counseling all individuals under his/her authority

  • Utilize ERP system to track work order shortages, incoming parts, labor collection, and material movement

  • Monitor product quality and workmanship during assembly / repair

  • Assist Production Manager in the daily production meeting process.

  • Monitor safety in the work area

  • Ensure that personal protective equipment is utilized as required

  • Report safety hazards to management

  • Perform safety incident investigations and implement corrective actions as required

  • Set up production lines for optimum efficiency

  • Follow, understand, and implement SOPs for production such as Non-Conforming Material (NCM) handling, Traceability, Process Controls, etc.

  • Assist in the development and performance of regular reporting online / cell scrap, yield, output labor utilization and efficiency

  • Promote a culture that minimizes waste, maximizes productivity through the use of lean manufacturing principles, associate training, and feedback.

  • Interact with other departments to develop and facilitate the implementation of new products into production.

  • Track all open work orders through manufacturing floor & report on labor utilization

  • Assist in the maintenance of labor content standards for product assembles / repaired

  • Complete required training in a timely manner

  • Assist with other projects as requested by a member of management

  • Assist in the implementation and attainment of "Key Performance Indicators" (KPI)

To be considered for the Production Supervisor position, here is what you typically will need...

  • Four years' related experience and/or training with a minimum of two years' supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Associate's degree

  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership to a direct labor force

  • Strong computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office and computer-based ERP systems

  • Electronics and/or mechanical assembly industry experience

  • The ability to rapidly acquire detailed knowledge

  • Ability to learn QSR, ISO13485 regulations and lean manufacturing principles

  • Basic understanding of medical validation requirements and testing.

  • Objects weighing up to 25 pounds are worked with, manipulated, and lifted on a repeated basis

  • Personal drive and follow through, strong human relations and team building skills

  • Able to succeed in highly regulated compliance-oriented environment while still providing service excellence

Salary Range Transparency:

Salt Lake City, UT $70,000.00-$90,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
