As a CNC / ACME / Tool & Die Machinist, youare responsible forsetting up,operating, andmaintainingCNC and or ACME to produce machined parts according to blueprint specifications. nVent expects you to adhere to all safe work procedures and to create parts up to thehighest ofquality standards. WHATYOU WILLEXPERIENCEIN THIS POSITION:
- Sets up andoperatesACME / CNC / Tool & Die equipment to produce quality machined parts as specified by blueprints, layout, and templates.
- Plans sequence of operations applying knowledge of materials.
- Perform dutiesrequiredtoassistsetup andoperatemultipleACME / CNC / Tool & Die equipment simultaneously for a variety of machined products.
- Work from drawings, route sheets, schedules, written, and verbal instructions.
- Check material forcorrectsize and type.
- Use micrometers, calipers, scales, and fixed gauges to check work in process and ensure adherence to specifications.
- Move materials in the performance of duties.
- Install and check safety devices as needed for specific jobs.
- Report faulty equipment, defectivematerialand unusual conditions to supervisor.
- Complete required quality checks/documents and production documentation.
- Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations andmaintainworkarea in a neat and orderly condition.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or directed, which may require more than the normal shift hours or work week to meet company needs.
YOU HAVE:
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Experience following work instructions or reading blueprints
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Prior experience working in a light industrial facility preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and meet operational deadlines.
