Position Title: Assistant Teaching Professor of Education StudiesCompensation: $55,000-$57,000Department: Educational StudiesStart Date: 08/01/2026About this opportunity: The Department of Educational Studies at Ball State University welcomes applications for a full-time teaching position in Adult and Community Education. The position is an annual, renewable ten-month appointment with the possibility of supplemental summer opporunities. This opportunity requires an on-campus presence.Rank: This position carries the title of Assistant Teaching Professor of Educational Studies. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate, masters, and doctoral level courses in the Masters of Adult and Community Education, Masters in Executive Development for Public Service, undergraduate Educational Studies minor, and Doctorate in Interdisciplinary Education programs. They will advise students in the Masters degree program and serve as appropriate on doctoral dissertation-in-practice committees. They will be involved in ongoing course and curriculum development as a part of the faculty team in Adult and Community Education, the Department of Educational Studies, and Teachers College. They will work effectively with various populations of students, colleagues, and members of the community. This position includes eligibility for university benefits. Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the US without employer sponsorship.
