Hybrid Schedule: 3 days in-office / 2 remote
Salary Range: $110,000 - $140,000 (dependent on experience)

P2S Commissioning (Cx) is a rapidly growing team focused on delivering high-performance building systems across the built environment. We are seeking a Commissioning Agent with strong technical expertise and a hands-on approach to evaluating and optimizing building system performance.



Responsibilities



  • Perform design reviews of drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure alignment with Owner Project Requirements (OPR) and Basis of Design (BOD)
  • Develop commissioning plans, pre-functional checklists, and functional performance test procedures
  • Identify, document, and track issues throughout all project phases and support resolution
  • Execute and oversee functional performance testing of building systems
  • Lead commissioning coordination meetings with Owners, Engineers, General Contractors, Sub Contractors, and Facilities Personel
  • Prepare clear, organized reports summarizing project progress, test results, and system performance
  • Support owner training and documentation of systems and operations



Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • CxA (ACG) or CCP (BCA) or BCxP (ASHRAE)
  • Project management experience
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for commercial buildings
  • Working knowledge of building systems, including:


    • HVAC - Airside and Water Side
    • Central Utility Plants
    • Plumbing/Piping
    • Electrical systems - Power and Lighting
    • Fire protection
    • Controls and instrumentation




Preferred Qualifications



  • Commissioning and retro-commissioning experience
  • Building envelope commissioning experience
  • Experience working within a consulting engineering environment
  • Strong client-facing experience



Skills



  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with testing equipment, data loggers, and commissioning tools
