Summary of role

The Commercial Training and Enablement Director is responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously improving strategic, compliant, and business-aligned learning solutions across the Lantheus commercial organization. This role leads curriculum design, facilitation, assessment, onboarding, certification, launch readiness, and ongoing capability development for field and cross-functional teams. The position also ensures effective use of Lantheus learning platforms, sales systems, and enablement tools to create a continuous, measurable learning experience that improves readiness, confidence, and commercial performance.

This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Onboarding and Learning Journey Management



  • Lead the design, governance, and continuous improvement of onboarding programs and role-based learning journeys for new commercial hires.
  • Partner with field managers, FSTs, HR, Sales Operations, and cross-functional teams to ensure onboarding milestones, training expectations, and business priorities are aligned.
  • Ensure learners have access to required platforms, resources, and certifications needed to progress successfully through onboarding.
  • Organize and execute new hire training classes.
  • Continuously improve upon onboarding processes while allowing flexibility by role, brand, and learner need.


Curriculum Design, Facilitation, and Certification



  • Design and manage disease state, product, market, and skills-based curricula across Lantheus commercial teams.
  • Create blended learning experiences that combine self-directed study, live facilitation, workshops, peer learning, role-play, and field application.
  • Lead the facilitation of virtual and live training events, including new hire training, workshops, launch training, certification sessions, and train-the-trainer meetings.
  • Develop and maintain certification pathways for product knowledge, prescribing information, messaging, customer engagement, and other core capabilities.
  • Translate complex clinical, operational, and commercial topics into clear, engaging, and practical learning experiences with tangible milestones for the learners.
  • Partner with brand, marketing, medical and field leadership to evaluate current programs, identify gaps, and drive measurable performance improvement.


Platforms, Tools, and Systems



  • Serve as a strategic owner and business lead for commercial training platforms and learning technologies, ensuring content is accessible, relevant, compliant, and measurable.
  • Leverage Lantheus LMS platform to build learning journeys, assign and track training, manage certifications, monitor learner progress, and generate reports for credentialing, proficiency, and audit readiness.
  • Incorporate AI-enabled practice and coaching tools such as Cicero and other assessment platforms, where appropriate, to strengthen verbalization, objection handling, and customer-facing readiness.
  • Ensure training is effectively integrated with key Lantheus tools and systems, including identity & access management (IAM) platform, CRM, Veeva and Salesforce platforms, Field Data tools, e.g. PowerBI, Lantheus Corporate Intranet, LinkedIn Learning, and other commercial and learning platforms.
  • Partner with Digital, Sales Operations, Marketing Operations, and IT to support training for digital resources, approved content channels, CRM tools, dashboards, and field systems.
  • Use data from training systems, assessments, feedback, and business performance to refine learning strategy and improve learner experience.


Meetings, Events, and Launch Readiness



  • Collaborate with event, brand, and field leaders to design and implement training that supports launches, national meetings, POAs, tradeshows, in-services, and other strategic events.
  • Build readiness plans, facilitator guides, participant materials, and reinforcement tools that support execution before, during, and after key commercial events.


Needs Assessment, Facilitation Excellence, and Measurement



  • Conduct learning needs assessments to identify knowledge, skill, and behavior gaps across brands, roles, and business priorities.
  • Design facilitation strategies, learner activities, and application-based practice that build presentation, messaging, clinical, business, and customer engagement capabilities.
  • Develop and manage assessments, quizzes, knowledge checks, observation tools, scorecards, and rubrics to evaluate learner readiness and proficiency.
  • Establish success metrics and feedback loops to monitor training effectiveness, support continuous improvement, and demonstrate business value.
  • Partner with leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to reinforce learning through coaching, field application, and post-training pull-through.


Cross-Functional Leadership and Governance



  • Serve as a strategic member of the commercial leadership team to anticipate capability needs and shape training priorities aligned to business strategy.
  • Collaborate closely with Brand, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Sales, Market Access, Customer Experience, HR, Compliance, and Sales Operations to develop aligned, practical learning solutions.
  • Ensure all training materials and learning activities align with Medical, Legal, and Regulatory review requirements and approved content standards.
  • Oversee vendor, budget, and project management activities related to training development, platforms, events, and learning initiatives.
  • Support a culture of continuous development by creating scalable, learner-centered, and business-relevant training experiences across the organization.


Basic Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of commercial training, learning and development, enablement, or related experience, preferably in pharmaceuticals, medical diagnostics, radiopharmaceuticals, or other regulated healthcare environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in curriculum design, adult learning principles, facilitation, assessment strategy, certification design, and learning measurement.
  • Experience developing and delivering onboarding, launch readiness, product training, and ongoing capability-building programs.
  • Strong working knowledge of learning and commercial systems such as LMS platforms, CRM platforms, Salesforce, Veeva, identity & access management (IAM) platform, Field Data Tools, e.g. Power BI, LinkedIn Learning, and related enablement technologies.
  • Ability to use training data, learner feedback, and business insights to improve programs and demonstrate effectiveness.
  • Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience operating successfully in a complex, matrixed, and fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Understanding of Medical, Legal, Regulatory review processes, promotional compliance, and interactions with healthcare professionals.
  • Experience in oncology, nuclear medicine, cardiology, neurology, or related specialty areas preferred.
  • Travel 20-30% as needed.
  • Minimum requirements needed to be considered for the role. Candidates must meet all basic qualifications to be eligible for hire.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Neurology, nuclear medicine and / or diagnostics experience a plus.

The pay range for this position is between $172,000 and $287,000 annually.

Actual base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Employees in this position are eligible for a discretionary performance-based cash incentive, and depending on the level of the role may be eligible for a discretionary annual equity award. Benefits for this position include a comprehensive health benefits package that includes medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage. Other offerings include life and disability benefits, pre-tax accounts, a 401(k) with company contribution, and a variety of other benefits.
