Principal Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Complies with and upholds company expectations including policies, procedures, industry regulations, department goals and business strategy.
  • Pulls scheduled reports and reviews data for accuracy.
  • Performs salary data calculations and research employee salary transactions as requested.
  • Performs job audits to determine if any significant changes have occurred from previous evaluation and makes necessary changes.
  • Audits HRIS system data regularly to ensure accuracy and makes changes as needed.
  • Drafts organizational charts and job descriptions for management review.
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating the compendium, organizational charts, and job descriptions.
  • Responsible for the development, preparation, and distribution of reports from the Human Resources system as directed.
  • Handles various employee issues with confidentiality, using problem-solving skills as required
  • Ensures fair treatment and a satisfactory employment experience by providing advisory services to management on interpretation and consistent application of collective bargaining agreements and of company policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Conduct investigations regarding employee matters.
  • Prepares responses for EEOC complains and Deparment of Human Services.
  • Provides reports as requested by Internal clients
  • Establish and maintain relationships with employees at all organizational levels.
  • Provide both employees and management with an effective and accurate feedback network.
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures (Federal, State, Labor & Employment Laws, and Company Regulations) are met with contract compliance.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Qualifications
Experience
Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business. (required)
Must be a hands-on professional with strong creative and conceptual skills, a proven track record in the management of complex issues in changing environments and exhibit a strong sense of urgency in exceeding company goals and objectives. (required)
5+ years of increasingly responsible HR experience. (required)
Must have experience developing strategies to support, develop and engage a diverse workforce. (required)
Professional expertise in the development and/or implementation of programs in key areas of human resource management, including organizational and cultural development, performance management, succession planning, talent acquisition and employee engagement. (required)
Prior experience negotiating union contracts and/or managing a union workforce is strongly preferred. (required)
Experience in hospitality, retail, entertainment, or other consumer-driven service business is required. (required)
An undergraduate degree is preferred for this position; an advanced degree is a plus. (required)
