This position helps keep the Harrisburg Military Post in good working order through skilled maintenance and repair work. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties:

• Painting Tasks: Prepare surfaces and apply paint on interior and exterior areas of the facility
• Plumbing Repairs: Install and fix fixtures, piping, and related systems throughout the building
• Carpentry Work: Complete rough and finish carpentry projects such as repairs, remodeling, and installations
• Electrical Duties: Install and service circuits, lighting, switches, and related electrical components
• HVAC Maintenance: Repair and service heating, cooling, and ventilation systems and equipment
• Grounds Upkeep: Maintain outdoor areas, remove snow and debris, and support general facility care

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week
• Work hours are 1st shift (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM), Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Your schedule may change based on operational needs.
• Travel: As needed
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

Special Requirement:

• You must be in possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.

Additional Requirement:

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
