DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position helps keep the Harrisburg Military Post in good working order through skilled maintenance and repair work. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Painting Tasks: Prepare surfaces and apply paint on interior and exterior areas of the facility
- Plumbing Repairs: Install and fix fixtures, piping, and related systems throughout the building
- Carpentry Work: Complete rough and finish carpentry projects such as repairs, remodeling, and installations
- Electrical Duties: Install and service circuits, lighting, switches, and related electrical components
- HVAC Maintenance: Repair and service heating, cooling, and ventilation systems and equipment
- Grounds Upkeep: Maintain outdoor areas, remove snow and debris, and support general facility care

- Full-time employment, 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 1st shift (7:00 AM to 3:00 PM), Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Your schedule may change based on operational needs.
- Travel: As needed
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
