We are seeking a DM Capacity Building Coordinator to support the facilitation of Learning and Development (L&D) efforts and the management of associated data, knowledge and evidence.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview):
To ensure the American Red Cross ISD can continue to provide high quality of service, the American Red Cross has established a Disaster Management (DM) Capacity Building unit focused on translating the Programmatic Learning and Development needs to practical and experiential learning for the IGP and ISD. We seek a DM Capacity Building Coordinator to support the facilitation of Learning and Development (L&D) efforts and the management of associated data, knowledge and evidence.

  • Must have project management, multilateral coordination, and data, information, and knowledge management skills
  • Be able to work in a dynamic, highly collaborative, and service focused environment which requires a high level of multi-tasking, flexibility, initiative, collaboration, and a creative approach to work.

PAYINFORMATION:

The salary range for this position is $85k-$90k.

This job will be posted for a minimum of five business days and extended if the applicant pool needs to be expanded.

Other factors that may be used todetermineyour actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience youhaveand comparison to other employees already in this role.

  • WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:Bachelor's degreerequiredin related field.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, competency-based approaches, training methodologies, learning systems and toolsrequired; prior experience developing, designing, and/or implementing competency-based learning activities a strong plus.
  • Ability to work independently and guide L&D conversations with technical experts
  • Minimum of4years of professional experienceinData and Information Management;directexperience with the commonly used systems and platforms referenced in this JDis a strongplus
  • Strong knowledge of knowledge management principles, approaches, and tools.
  • Ability to manage projects, prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively in a fast-moving and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 30% of the time.
  • Prior experience ininternationalhumanitarian sector, disaster management or RCRC Movementis a strongplus.
  • Abilityto work with volunteersis a strongplus.
  • Fluent written & spoken English isrequired.Additionallanguagesa strongplus.
  • Mustpossessstrong personal integrity, professionalism, ability to adapt to changing situations, and a commitment to RCRC fundamental principles.
