Position Summary

This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Orange Coast Medical Center. The employee shall support Orange Coast Medical Center's strategic plan and participate in and advocate performance improvement/patient safety activities.

The Central Processing Technician II is primarily responsible for providing support to the Operating Room through knowledge of surgical supplies and materials. The Central Processing Technician is responsible for the daily case supply picking. This position is accountable for the support of the effective PAR level maintenance.

Specific job-related responsibilities and duties.

1. Meets population specific competencies.

2. Demonstrates knowledge of surgical supplies

3. Assists with OR/ SPD Inventory management as needed.

4. Utilizes effective communication with OR staff/leadership team/material management and surgeons.

5. Assists with keeping a clean work environment in order to promote optimal functioning in the department.

6. Practices within the perioperative code of conduct.

7. Participates and supports in the perioperative lean philosophy and projects.

8. Other duties as assigned.

*Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications.
