About This Role Help shape the student experience at one of K-State's fastest-growing campuses. Kansas State University Salina is looking for a student-centered, energetic and highly organized professional to serve as Housing & Dining Manager. This is an opportunity to play a visible role in the experience of our students - creating a residential community where students feel connected, supported and engaged both inside and outside the classroom. The Housing & Dining Manager provides leadership for residence life, student engagement and housing operations on the K-State Salina campus. This position works directly with students, student leaders and campus partners to create a safe, welcoming and engaging residential environment. The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys working with students, building relationships, solving problems and making things happen. This is a highly visible, hands-on position where no two days are exactly alike. You will have the opportunity to: Build a strong residential community Develop and lead student employees Manage day-to-day residence life operations Maintain housing-related records and systems Manage the residence life budget and support effective use of resources. Collaborate with campus partners to support student well-being and success. Look for new and creative ways to increase student engagement and strengthen the sense of belonging on campus This position is a great fit for someone who: Enjoys working directly with students and wants their work to have a visible impact. Builds relationships naturally and is comfortable being a highly visible presence on campus. Can balance people and process - someone who can have a difficult conversation with a student and then turn around and solve an operational problem. Enjoys creating community and finding new ways to get students involved. Can work independently while being an effective campus partner. What You'll Need to Succeed Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree One year of relevant experience. Education beyond the minimum degree requirement may count toward required experience if deemed relevant by the hiring manager. Requires a valid driver's license. The degree requirement ensures candidates possess the organizational, communication and administrative skills essential for managing student housing operations and services. These competencies are typically developed and validated only through the comprehensive curriculum and experiential learning inherent in a formal degree program. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in student personnel or related area preferred.
