THE ROLE: AMD is seeking a strong Manager to lead a Server Software Automation team focused on delivering scalable, high-quality, and extensible automation infrastructure. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, automation, and AI innovation, offering the opportunity to shape how intelligent automation accelerates development velocity and enhances customer experience across AMD's data center platforms. You will lead a highly skilled, globally distributed team of engineers and architects, working closely with system architects, firmware developers, validation teams, and product stakeholders. As part of the engineering leadership team, you'll help influence strategy around continuous integration, development processes, and quality improvements while driving adoption of automation and AI-driven solutions. This is a highly collaborative, hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced, globally connected environment spanning teams across Austin, Bangalore, Penang, and Taiwan. THE PERSON: A successful candidate is a hands-on, high-impact leader who thrives in a fast-paced, global environment. They are passionate about building and developing high-performing teams, driving innovation, and leading by example. They are collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable working across geographies and functions. Strong communication skills, a growth mindset, and the ability to mentor and elevate engineering talent are critical.
