THE ROLE:

AMD is seeking a Strategic Account Executive with deep Federal Civilian market experience to drive growth, market penetration, and strategic account expansion across AMD's Data Center, AI, and Commercial Client portfolio.

This role is responsible for developing new business opportunities, expanding strategic engagements, and managing a qualified pipeline across Federal Civilian agencies and ecosystem partners. You will represent AMD's technology leadership and value proposition across AMD EPYC, Ryzen Pro, and AMD Instinct solutions, working closely with customers, OEMs, system integrators, and AMD technical teams to support mission-critical programs and digital transformation initiatives.

The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of Federal Civilian priorities, acquisition environments, and emerging technologies-including AI, cloud, data center modernization, and secure computing architectures. This is a highly visible role requiring demonstrated success growing new business, shaping opportunities, and expanding strategic customer relationships within the Federal Civilian market.

You are a strategic, customer-focused sales leader with strong Federal market expertise and a passion for helping customers solve complex technology challenges.

You bring:

  • Experience defining and executing business development and growth strategies within the Federal Civilian market
  • Strong understanding of Federal planning, budgeting, procurement, and acquisition processes
  • Strong drive to win, balanced with sound business judgment and integrity
  • Executive presence and ability to communicate effectively across technical, operational, and executive stakeholders
  • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to understand customer mission priorities and translate needs into AMD opportunities
  • Proven ability to build trusted advisor relationships with senior government, technology, and industry leaders
  • Strategic mindset with demonstrated success building long-term growth plans and customer relationships
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
  • Ability to work remotely and travel up to 50% as required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define and execute sales strategies to grow AMD revenue, market share, and strategic positioning across the Federal Civilian market
  • Develop and execute multi-year account strategies that align AMD's technology roadmap with Federal modernization initiatives, AI adoption priorities, cloud transformation efforts, and mission-critical infrastructure investments
  • Create and lead customer-facing engagements, executive meetings, industry events, and strategic business development activities
  • Leverage mission priorities, market trends, modernization initiatives, and customer objectives to identify, shape, and close new opportunities
  • Develop and convert new target accounts into long-term, value-based customer relationships
  • Identify, qualify, and influence opportunities through close collaboration with government stakeholders, OEMs, system integrators, channel partners, and industry ecosystem partners
  • Serve as an AMD subject matter expert across data center, commercial client, AI, and advanced computing solutions
  • Drive adoption of AMD Ryzen and Ryzen Pro commercial client platforms, including AI-enabled PC and secure endpoint initiatives
  • Drive sales of AMD EPYC and AMD Instinct based server, AI, and data center solutions supporting modernization, cloud, analytics, and emerging AI workloads
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with Government executives, Program Managers, acquisition organizations, and industry partners that accelerate business growth
  • Partner closely with AMD sales, engineering, field application engineers, and business unit teams to support strategic programs and technical engagements
  • Maintain accurate opportunity management, forecasting, and reporting through Salesforce CRM

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven Federal Civilian sales and/or business development experience selling Data Center, AI, cloud, and/or commercial client solutions
  • Well-established network of trusted relationships across the Federal Civilian customer and partner ecosystem
  • Experience engaging executive and technical stakeholders using a consultative, mission-outcome focused selling approach
  • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, server platforms, storage, cloud environments, software ecosystems, and enterprise workloads
  • Solid knowledge of commercial PC client solutions, secure computing environments, and emerging AI-enabled workplace technologies
  • Strong experience partnering with OEMs, systems integrators, and channel organizations supporting Federal Civilian customers
  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools, analytics, automation, or digital technologies to improve sales effectiveness, customer engagement, business planning, or operational efficiency preferred
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, growth-oriented, and highly matrixed environments
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across distributed teams

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

Bachelor's degree required or equivalent professional experience

Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
