Job Description:
Our NEW Pediatric Behavioral Health Center is scheduled to open in December 2026. Candidates applying for this position should expect a start date after September 1, 2026. All applicants must be 21 years of age or older and provide two professional references as part of the hiring process.
Under minimal supervision provide oversite, training, and technical assistance for both moderate and waived complexity point of care testing in both a hospital and ambulatory setting. Activities will include but not limited to operating and maintaining test equipment, monitoring, and evaluating the quality of testing, verifying, and reporting test results, and resolving technical and quality control problems. Additional duties include general and administrative support functions necessary for the routine operation of the laboratory. Level I Minimum Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree or medical technology degree required. Bachelor's degree must include minimally 60 semester hours or equivalent, that includes either: 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses OR 24 semester hours - 6 chemistry, 6 biology and 12 chemistry, biology, medical laboratory technology any combination. Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS). Master's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science (MLS) or related science or healthcare field preferred. Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory with emphasis on skills in on or more subspecialties: Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation and other Point of Care tests required. License/Certification/Registration Required None Level II Minimum Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree or medical technology degree required. Bachelor's degree must include minimally 60 semester hours or equivalent, that includes either: 24 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses OR 24 semester hours - 6 chemistry, 6 biology and 12 chemistry, biology, medical laboratory technology any combination. Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS). Master's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science (MLS) or related science or healthcare field preferred. Experience: 5 or more years of experience in a clinical laboratory with emphasis on skills in on or more subspecialties: Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation and other Point of Care tests required. License/Certification/Registration: Nationally recognized certification through one of the following governing accreditations: ASCP, AMT, AABB, NASKL, ASCLS, HHS, ASHI, AAB, ABB, AMS, CRP, EBPH, Military or NILA required.
