About the role: Akron Children's Hospital is expanding our Pediatric Hospitalist program at its Beeghly and Golisano campuses. We are seeking a full-time BE/BC Pediatric Hospitalist to provide high-quality medical management of hospitalized infants, children and adolescents. For candidates with a strong interest in medical education and academic leadership, an exciting opportunity is available to serve as Associate Program Director (APD) of the Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship. The APD will have the opportunity to play a meaningful role in fellow education and mentorship, curriculum development, program growth, and shaping the future of our Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship. Candidates interested in the APD position must be BE/BC in pediatric hospital medicine. Our Pediatric Hospitalists quickly respond to patient needs, modify treatment plans to prevent complications, and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality, evidence-based inpatient care. Clinical activities include attending on the inpatient pediatric service with resident coverage, providing hospitalist consultation services, and attending on the advanced practice provider service. Our Pediatric Hospitalists also provide sedation services for the organization. Joining the pediatric sedation team is an optional additional clinical activity.
