Versademics is a faith-based nonprofit after school and summer program serving K-12 youth in Pitt County. In 2024-25, we launched a small-group Bible study with measurable social-emotional learning outcomes, and we are expanding that program through Summer 2026. This role blends the daily responsibilities of a camp counselor with the specific calling of leading small-group Bible study and stewarding the social and emotional well-being of campers. Job duties include:

* Facilitate age-appropriate discussion, reflection, and prayer with campers
* Steward and actively contribute to campers social-emotional well-being through consistent, caring presence
* Supervise an assigned small group of campers throughout the daily schedule
* Facilitate enrichment activities including arts, STEM projects, recreation, and team-building games
* Supervise campers during meals, transitions, field trips, and outdoor play
* Use positive, consistent classroom management strategies grounded in patience and respect
* Model Christian character through speech, action, and the daily care of campers
* Communicate professionally with parents, guardians, fellow staff, and program leadership
* Participate in pre-camp training, Bible study leader orientation, and weekly staff meetings
* Maintain accurate attendance records and incident documentation as needed
* Help with daily setup, cleanup, and care of program spaces

This position involves leading Christian small-group Bible study and serving as a faith-formation role model for campers within a faith-based nonprofit program.
