Organizational Unit Overview
The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine at the Brody School of Medicine is one of only four academic pulmonary and critical care medicine programs in North Carolina. Our division is a dynamic academic environment emphasizing excellence in clinical care as well as evolving research and training opportunities.

The ECU Brody School of Medicine is affiliated with ECU Health Medical Center. ECU Health is the flagship hospital for University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina and serves as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.
Job Duties
The Fellowship Program Coordinator assists the Program Director with the daily administration of the fellowship training program. The position functions as liaison between the Office of Graduate Medical Education, other BSOM departments, Fellows, Department Administration, remote training sites, various Vidant administrative departments, and the fellowship Program Director. As the primary contact for the fellows, the coordinator is responsible for implementation and reporting of various program requirements, interpreting and communicating policy, coordinating the residency recruitment season including reviewing applications and scheduling interviews, and developing solutions for unprecedented or unusual problems. Additional responsibilities will include helping coordinate fellowship program activities during the year, travel and purchasing.
Minimum Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
License or Certification required by statute or regulation

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education

  • Experience in an office setting, preferably medical
  • Experience working with fellows and/or medical student clerkships
  • Experience in the Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with university purchasing systems, New Innovations, and ERAS
