Job Profile Summary The Vascular Sonographer Inpatient Non-Registered performs various vascular ultrasound procedures under the supervision of the department manager. The role delivers excellent customer service utilizing Relationship Based Care to advocate for safety, patient preferences, and optimal communication through partnering with patients/families and colleagues, including all internal and external customers. Essential Job Function: Performs all vascular examinations completely with good diagnostic quality in a timely manner. Analyzes test data accurately. Communicates findings to reading vascular physician in verbal and written form. Operates, troubleshoots, and appropriately requests repair of testing equipment in a safe, appropriate, and knowledgeable manner. Maintains skills for all current procedures performed. Learns new skills and procedures as changes occur. Maintains CPR certification. Performs other duties as assigned. Education: Required: High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience: Required: 0-1 years in Healthcare-Ultrasound Training. Licensure/Certification/Listing: Required: Registry eligible for RVT from ARDMS or RVS from CCI or RT-VS from ARRT. Required to pass ARDMS or CCI or ARRT vascular ultrasound registry within 18 months of start date. BLS (CPR)- American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare provider.
