Payroll Specialist

Auria is looking to hire a Payroll Specialist in Colorado Springs, CO. Auria is a provider of solutions and software in support of complex Space, National Security, and Cyber missions of federal, international, and commercial customers. * Process semi-monthly payroll for employees

* Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions

* Maintain and update employee payroll records

* Verify timesheets and resolve discrepancies

* Ensure compliance with labor laws and tax regulations

* Manage benefits deductions (health insurance, retirement plans, etc.)

* Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, taxes, and deductions

* Reconcile payroll accounts and generate reports for accounting

* Assist with audits and year-end processes

* High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's preferred in accounting, finance, or related field)

* 3+ years of experience in payroll processing or a similar role

* Knowledge of payroll software (e.g., Humanic, ADP, Paychex, or similar systems)

* Understanding of tax regulations and labor laws

* Strong numerical and analytical skills

* High level of accuracy and attention to detail

* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems

* Certification such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)

* Experience with HRIS systems

* Strong organizational and time-management skills

* Ability to handle confidential information with integrity

* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

PAY TRANSPARENCY: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level. $65,000 - $80,000
