Job Summary This role supports the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) mission at Hill Air Force Base by providing critical global network and telecommunications services to the Department of Defense and national security organizations. The position operates within a 24x7 Global Network Support Center (GNSC), supporting Transport, IP, and Unified Capabilities (UC) network operations. The role directly supports Global Information Grid (GIG) capabilities, enabling worldwide telecommunications for operational missions, humanitarian assistance, disaster relief, and ongoing strategic deterrence activities. Primary Responsibilities * Conduct investigations into network and telecommunications system incidents * Identify, document, and resolve network faults and performance issues * Monitor and analyze network and telecommunications alarms * Configure, test, install, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices, including: * Firewalls, routers, and cryptographic devices * Transport and optical systems (MSPP, Promina, ATM, Optical) * Configure, test, install, troubleshoot, and maintain telecommunications systems, including: * Phone systems and endpoints * Voicemail and call manager systems * Switching infrastructure and trunk circuits * Video Teleconference (VTC) and video distribution systems Basic Qualifications * High School Diploma with 3+ years of relevant technical experience * Additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of formal education * DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE or equivalent) required prior to start date * Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 operational environment * Experience with one or more of the following: * Alarm surveillance * Fault management * LAN maintenance * Performance management * Technical expertise in one or more of the following: * Routers and switches * Cryptographic devices * IP routing * DSN/DRSN, GVS * Cisco technologies * MSPP, Promina, Optical Switching * General understanding of both transport and IP network topologies * Active Secret security clearance required Skills * Network Operations Center (NOC) operations * Routers and switches * VoIP and Unified Communications * Cisco, Nortel, PBX, Avaya * #FEDTPP Experience Level Intermediate Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ogden, UT. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.65 - $38.46/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
