Job Description

Join Allstate's New York State Personal Injury Protection (PIP) / No Fault Litigation team as a Paralegal Specialist, where your contributions will be essential to supporting complex no fault insurance disputes and delivering strong legal outcomes for our insureds and internal clients.

Based in Uniondale, NY, this hybrid role requires the ability to report to the Uniondale office as needed and offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys handling high-volume and high-exposure New York State No Fault matters. You'll play a critical role throughout the litigation life cycle, with a strong emphasis on discovery management, court filings, and procedural compliance specific to PIP / No Fault litigation - from responding to complaints and petitions to supporting arbitration hearings and trial preparation. With hands-on training and mentorship from a collaborative team of no fault paralegals and attorneys, you'll continue to build specialized expertise in a fast-paced, supportive legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage New York State PIP / NoFault litigation and arbitration files from inception through resolution
  • Draft, file, and manage pleadings and high-volume discovery, including demands, responses, and objections specific to nofault litigation
  • Coordinate and track discovery deadlines, verification requests, compliance, and follow-up
  • Order, organize, and maintain claim files, medical records, billing, assignments of benefits, and policy documentation
  • Assist with expert discovery and medical provider matters, including record exchanges and scheduling of independent medical examinations (IMEs) when applicable
  • Prepare arbitration and trial materials, including exhibits, hearing binders, and subpoenaed materials
  • Perform extensive e-filing in New York State courts and arbitration forums, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Monitor court calendars, arbitration schedules, hearing dates, and procedural deadlines to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Utilize litigation technology, case management systems, and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) to manage case data and reporting efficiently
  • Collaborate with attorneys and other paralegals to maintain organized, accurate, and complete litigation files

Education

  • Must meet the minimum qualifications for paralegals as defined by New York law

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience as a Paralegal supporting New York State PIP / NoFault, insurance litigation, or civil litigation preferred
  • Demonstrated experience handling heavy discovery workloads and frequent e-filing in a fast-paced legal environment preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of New York NoFault litigation and arbitration procedures
  • Tech savvy, with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams) and litigation or case management systems
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple active cases and deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to report in person to the Uniondale office as required

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is 28.03 - 42.99 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
