Research Technician I/II - Education
Overview Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is an independent, nonprofit organization providing adult cancer treatment and groundbreaking research focused on cancer and infectious diseases. Based in Seattle, Fred Hutch is the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in Washington. With a track record of global leadership in bone marrow transplantation, HIV/AIDS prevention, immunotherapy and COVID-19 vaccines, Fred Hutch has earned a reputation as one of the world's leading cancer, infectious disease and biomedical research centers. Fred Hutch operates eight clinical care sites that provide medical oncology, infusion, radiation, proton therapy and related services, and network affiliations with hospitals in five states. Under the direction of Dr. Johnnie Orozco, Fred Hutch operates intensive summer internship programs for high school and early undergraduate students. During the academic year, we collaborate with Hutch Science Education to facilitate hands-on research experiences for groups visiting our campus. We are seeking a Research Technician I/II to aid with the year-round operation of these efforts aimed at introducing students to biomedical research and enabling young people to succeed in their academic and professional pursuits. The ideal candidate will have experience with cellular and molecular biology techniques and a strong desire to engage in education and outreach activities. A cover letter is required Responsibilities

A cover letter is required Research Technician I: The hourly pay range for this position is from $23.33 to $33.21 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications. Research Technician II: The hourly pay range for this position is from $27.01 to $38.45 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
