With a team of experienced professional staff, Penn State Retail Dining provides spectacular food and beverages to faculty, staff, students and guests at the University Park Campus.We are currently looking for multiple student staff who are highly motivated, outgoing, polite, engaged and service-minded individuals. Our focus on students in the workplace is one of the many concepts that differentiate us from other local food service providers.Join us for the Fall 2026 Semester!

Job Duties
  • The Student Food Service Worker is responsible for preparing and/or building food items while providing customer service and adhering to food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications Required Qualifications:
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Employment contingent upon applicant maintaining full-time academic enrollment for Fall 2026 semester.
Demonstrated Experience:
  • A team player, ability to juggle multiple priorities, and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic reading and English-speaking skills.
  • Proven ability to follow direction and adhere to quality expectations and standards.
  • Ability to stand for lengthy periods and perform various motor skills such as lifting (50+ lbs.), reaching, bending, twisting, pushing, squatting and grasping as needed.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Compensation and Schedule:
  • Starting pay of $13.00/hr.
  • Openings are limited to 18 hours a week with a minimum of 6 hours a week.
