Job Summary:The Sterile Processing Technician II is a competent and experienced member of the sterile processing team. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments, equipment, and medical supplies in accordance with established policies, procedures, and industry standards. The position demonstrates strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterilization methods, supports training of new staff, and assists with workflow and quality improvements to ensure safe, high-quality products for patient care. Required Physical Requirements: Constant (67-100% of workday) use of arms and hands; frequent (34-66% of workday) standing, walking, and sitting; occasional (0-33% of workday) bending, stooping, and squatting; ability to lift 35 lbs.; ability to push and pull up to 20 lbs.; auditory and visual skills to include color determination.
