These are the qualifications that matter.

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• AWS Welding Certification or equivalent experience required
• 2+ years of heavy steel welding/fabrication experience preferred
• Proficiency in MAG 135 welding strongly preferred
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Experience working with thick black steel and production welding processes
• Skilled in use of welding tools, hoists, cranes, and material handling equipment
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices preferred
• Ability to use computerized work order systems
• Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality standards
• Must be able to stand 8-10 hours and lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Key Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and work from technical drawings and blueprints
• Assemble, fabricate, and weld steel structures, parts, and components
• Set up welding machines, tools, and related equipment
• Perform multi-pass welding (linear, vertical, and layered welds) per specifications
• Conduct surface preparation, preheating, and use of welding consumables as required
• Inspect, clean, and verify welded parts for quality compliance
• Operate overhead cranes, hoists, and lifts to transport heavy materials safely
• Support safe handling and movement of thick steel components
• Follow all quality, safety, and standardized welding procedures
