Responsibilities:

• Supervise and train die maintenance employees, including onboarding and ongoing skill development
• Monitor training logs, overtime scheduling, and workforce assignments
• Oversee die maintenance operations for blank, progressive, tandem, and secondary press tooling
• Troubleshoot in-press tooling and resolve die, fixture, and production issues
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams on continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, PPE requirements, and workplace regulations
• Maintain production schedules in coordination with Press and Production Control teams
• Track die maintenance spare parts inventory and support tooling availability
• Document die improvements, including performance tracking and before/after analysis
• Provide CAD/3D data to vendors for die component fabrication

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred
• 1+ years of prior supervisory experience in manufacturing or tool & die environment required
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production setting
• Comfortable working with cross-functional teams including HR, Quality, and Engineering
• Strong knowledge of metal stamping and auto parts manufacturing
• Hands-on experience with tool & die equipment including:
  
  
  
  • Drill press, lathe, Bridgeport, milling machine
  • Surface grinders, band saws, cut-off saws
  • Wire EDM, sinker EDM, OD grinders
  • CNC milling and 3D model programming
  
  
  
  
• Ability to interpret complex die mechanics and tool steel applications
• Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, CATIA, Fusion 360, BobCAD
• Understanding of CNC machining and 3D surface modeling
