Performance Contracting Group (PCG), located in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Strategic Communications Leader to define how we connect, inform, and inspire our employees and stakeholders. This role shapes both internal and external communications, bringing our brand, strategy, and culture to life across the organization.


You'll partner with senior leaders, build scalable communication systems, and lead a high-performing team to ensure our messaging is clear, aligned, and impactful.


What You'll Do


Drive Strategic Communications



  • Develop and execute an integrated internal and external communications strategy aligned to business priorities
  • Advise senior leaders on messaging, positioning, and communication approach
  • Align messaging across teams, initiatives, and channels


Lead Internal Communications & Engagement



  • Oversee enterprise internal communications and channels (including intranet and digital platforms)
  • Create toolkits and resources that enable leaders to communicate effectively
  • Deliver clear, consistent messaging that reaches both field and office employees
  • Establish feedback loops to ensure two-way communication


Strengthen Brand & External Presence



  • Lead external storytelling including press, social media, and thought leadership
  • Partner with Marketing to ensure a consistent brand voice across all channels
  • Maintain brand standards and communication governance


Lead & Develop the Team



  • Manage and coach a communications team, setting clear goals and expectations
  • Foster collaboration across Marketing, IT, and Operations
  • Drive innovation through tools, analytics, and emerging technologies


Measure Impact & Support Change



  • Track communication effectiveness through data and engagement metrics
  • Support enterprise change initiatives with clear, effective messaging
  • Reinforce company culture, purpose, and values through communication


Salary: $95,000-$129,000 annual salary plus non-guaranteed annualized bonus program.


Basic Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, PR, Marketing, or related field
  • 7+ years of communications experience in a complex organization
  • 3+ years of leadership or cross-functional influence
  • Strong writing, storytelling, and executive communication skills
  • Ability to connect communication strategy to business outcomes
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Background in both internal and external communications
  • Familiarity with digital platforms, analytics, and emerging tools (including AI)
