Position Summary
The Assistant Director of Football Operations supports the planning, coordination, and execution of all internal and external operations of Georgia Football. Works in conjunction with the Football Chief of Staff and Director of Football Operations. This role is essential to the daily functionality of the program, ensuring seamless logistics, efficient communication, and first-class experience for student-athletes, coaches, and staff. This includes overseeing team events, invoices, gameday operations, student workers, recruitment support.

  • Be familiarized and compliant with NCAA and SEC rules.
  • Ability to communicate and organize schedules.
  • Ability to stay up to date with recruiting current events and keep coaches informed.
  • Understand computer systems, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • The employee will regularly stand, walk, use hands, and reach with arms/hands.
  • Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision, and peripheral vision.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but escalates to high during practice and athletic competitions.

Team Operations & Logistics

  • Coordinates daily football operations, including practice schedules, meeting logistics, and team activities.
  • Managing the delta manifest for all team travel
  • Managing student-athlete per diem for holiday and postseason
  • Support the planning and execution of team travel, including transportation, lodging, meals, and itineraries for home and away games and post-season events.
  • Coordinates game week operations, ensuring all logistical elements are executed at a championship level.

Administrative Coordination

  • Assist with internal calendars, scheduling, and communication across football staff and support units.
  • Serve as a liaison between football operations and key departments, including compliance, academics, equipment, facilities, and sports medicine.
  • Assist in organizing camps, clinics, donor events, and special events.
  • Plan and oversee the annual NFL Pro Day.
  • Ensure quality control for the football program with daily projects and supplies.
  • Support all aspects of football preseason fall camp.
  • Assist with any special guests and guest speakers that are visiting the football program.
  • Manage and process all invoices while monitoring a budget spreadsheet

  • Coordinates day-to-day facility operations, including scheduling, access, and readiness for practices, team functions, and team meetings
  • Support the execution of on-campus events, including official visits, prospect days, and internal team functions.

  • Ensure all operational activities align with NCAA, SEC, and institutional guidelines.
  • Assist with documentation, reporting, and operational compliance processes.
  • Assist with Teamworks scheduling and communications with staff and student-athletes.
  • Work with compliance to ensure all student-athlete paperwork is completed and on file.

  • Provide operational support during both in-season and non-peak periods, maintaining continuity across all areas of the program.
  • Anticipate program needs and proactively address logistical challenges to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist with the business operations of the football program and bookkeeping of receipts.
