What this job involves

The Business Intelligence Analyst will join our Corporate Solutions Group's BI analytics team, working closely with the BI manager to analyze formal and informal data to better understand performance metrics. This analytically-focused role involves assessing technical environments, developing technology requirements and solutions, partnering with data owners to understand business requirements, and creating comprehensive reports and dashboards. The position offers an excellent opportunity for an analytically minded professional to learn multiple service lines and use information to influence decision-making processes across the organization.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Assessing current technical environments and developing technology requirements and conceptual solutions to meet business objectives
  • Partnering with data owners to understand business requirements and common reporting/analysis use cases
  • Working with technical and business teams to define appropriate BI solutions, data warehouse implementation, and data access strategies
  • Creating and maintaining complex reports and dashboards based on business requirements
  • Drafting and distributing reports on weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually schedules
  • Analyzing trends in monthly Key Performance Indicator results and developing performance improvement concepts
  • Providing hands-on support to provision data from various internal sources and building reporting and metadata models

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Office-based work environment requiring extended periods of computer use
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while analyzing data and creating reports
  • Visual acuity required for detailed data analysis and dashboard creation
  • Manual dexterity needed for keyboard and mouse operation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Finance, Information Technology, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Corporate Real Estate environment
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, VLOOKUP functions, and complex cell calculations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with ability to consolidate data into PowerPoint presentations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to extrapolate data for forecasting and trending
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interaction with all levels of internal and external clients
  • Proven ability to work independently, multitask, and manage time effectively to meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with data and statistical applications such as PowerPivot, Tableau, SAS, Access, MiniTab, Sigma Excel, or SQL
  • Proficiency in SharePoint for collaboration and document management
  • Experience in BI solutions and Data Warehouse implementation
  • Background in creating metadata models to support strategic data initiatives
  • Knowledge of performance improvement methodologies and concepts
  • Experience presenting to clients and various lines of business
  • Familiarity with multiple service lines within corporate real estate

Estimated compensation for this position:

65,000.00 - 75,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
