DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Registered Nurse Supervisor, you will provide clinical leadership and direct supervision to Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses. You will be responsible for overseeing the administration of nursing services, ensuring all care aligns with established objectives and professional standards. This work includes the continuous review of nursing assessments and health care plans to guarantee accuracy, timeliness, and the delivery of optimum care to every individual served. In addition, you will serve as a vital clinical resource, offering expertise through consultation, training, and direct assistance to your staff. As a key member of the interdisciplinary treatment team, you will contribute medical insights to guide care strategies and participate in essential facility meetings. To maintain safety and compliance, you will monitor medication administration practices and conduct quality assurance audits. By upholding the polices of the Ebensburg Center and Department of Health standards, you will ensure the highest level of clinical excellence and operational integrity.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
  • Work hours are 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM (3rd shift), rotating days off, with a 30-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.
  • Overtime and travel as operationally necessary
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years as a Registered Nurse (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Four years of professional nursing experience providing care and treatment services consistent with those needed for individuals with a mental or physical injury or illness and/or a developmental disability.
Special Requirements:
  • This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
  • If you possess an active temporary practice permit, you must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Other Requirements:
  • PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
