Summary:
Description The Intake Specialist serves as a patient advocate and facilitates the process that allows for access to life changing care for members of the community. The Intake Specialist is a professional who serves as the first point of contact at the facility for all patients and families seeking services. Intake Specialists work within a collaborative team including physicians, providers, other intake specialists and many other members of a multidisciplinary team. The Intake Specialist gains career experience to develop and progress with a nationally recognized behavioral health leader. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Accomplish the following pre-admission steps:
Complete all documentation steps for each inquiry and assessment.
Adhere to department standards as it relates to performance measures.
Connect potential patients and/or their representative with outside resources when indicated. Collaborate with internal departments and external facilities/referents as it relates access to care. Participate in the On-Call, weekend, and holiday schedule rotation. Is willing to cover at other Rogers locations occasionally if staffing need arises. Will be trained and willing to cover the receptionist position as needed. Complete other duties as assigned by Admissions leadership. Understand and apply policies and procedures in accordance with external regulatory agencies:
