In doing so, we create lifechanging innovations that impact billions of lives around the world.HM Team Description:The Microsoft Identity Security data organization is responsible for building and operating largescale data science, machine learning, and AIdriven systems that protect users and systems from compromise, fraud, and abuse across Microsoft platforms.As a Principal Data Science Manager, you will operate as a technical and people leader, setting direction for highimpact data science and applied AI initiatives that span compromise detection, antiabuse protections, and AIenabled security systems, including AI agents. You will lead a team of data scientists, define longterm technical and organizational strategy, and ensure the successful delivery of productiongrade ML systems at global scale.This role requires operating effectively in high ambiguity, driving alignment across engineering, product, and research partners, and delivering durable solutions that meaningfully improve Microsoft's security posture. Data Science M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
