Summary requires at least .8 FTEJob Description: Job Summary: The staff physical therapist shall evaluate and treat patients; develop a treatment plan; and set goals for patients. Patient and family education is included in the treatment plan and goals. The PT will complete all documentation as outlined in the policy and procedures to be in compliance with all insurance and regulatory entities. The therapist will assist with the education of affiliating students, the P.T. staff, hospital staff, and the community at large. The therapist will participate in departmental program development and quality program implementation. The therapist will direct daily operations as needed in the absence of the manager. The therapist must intervene appropriately and meet the needs of the patients with impaired mentation, vision, hearing, or mobility. Assists the Clinical Manager in administrative responsibilities. This includes, but is not limited to: chart reviews, billing audits and quality control of documentation, scheduling therapists, assigning patients, assisting with time and attendance, conducting staff meetings/huddles and serving as acting Clinical Manager as necessary in the absence of the Clinical Manager. This position is ~95% patient care. Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required A. Licensed Physical Therapist in State of Kentucky B. BLS certification within 90 days of hire and maintained C. Bachelor's Degree D.
