Schedule for Day Shift 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM rotating days**

JOB SUMMARY

Supports manufacturing operations by performing inspections, testing, and documentation to ensure products meet established quality standards and specifications. Works closely with production and quality manager to identify quality issues and support continuous improvement efforts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Conduct inspections of all molded products running on each line in Molding Department.
  • Conduct sampling and testing of compounds off each line in the Compounding Department.
  • Document and maintain quality inspection findings for Molding and Compounding.
  • Document any non-conformities and hold all affected products for further investigation.
  • Conduct and manage all hold product investigations and dispositioning from your shift.
  • Conduct and manage all computer records, inputs, and statuses of all quality activities.
  • Institute complete JDE Inventory records of any hold or released product.
  • Ability to comply with company policies, procedures, and safety rules.
  • Ability to collaborate independently with minimal supervisor while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain regular attendance in accordance with company policy.

Perform other duties as assigned to the satisfaction of your supervisor and the shift supervisor.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Knowledge

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages and interpret bar graphs.

Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in oneonone and small group settings with customers, clients, and other employees.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Forklift experience is preferred.

Communication

Ability to apply practical judgment and general understanding to follow written, verbal, or diagram-based instructions.
Ability to solve routine problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations.
Strong verbal communication skills required.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee should possess the ability to:

  • Prolong standing or other stationary positions.
  • Complete repetitive movements such as typing.
  • Ascend/descend stairs and ladders.
  • Complete repetitive movements
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment.
  • Bend and/or twist.
  • Lift/move/transport items up to forty pounds
  • Move or traverse about the facilities.
  • May be exposed to sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable.
  • Withstand exposure to temperature extremes inside or out.
  • Work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions.
