The Role and Team

Medallia is seeking a highly organized and execution-focused B2B field marketer to plan and deliver high-impact events and experiences that engage target accounts, build relationships, and drive pipeline. This role is centered on executing best-in-class events and ensuring they are well-attended by priority customers and prospects. This role requires monthly travel within North America to attend and support onsite staff at events.

You will work closely with Sales and Marketing leadership to identify the right accounts to engage, promote upcoming programs internally, and drive strong participation. This role requires someone who can balance strategic thinking with flawless execution, managing multiple programs simultaneously while ensuring every event delivers a high-quality experience.


Responsibilities

Event Execution & Program Management

  • Plan and execute a portfolio of high-touch events including VIP experiences, executive dinners, workshops, trade shows, and hosted programs
  • Manage all aspects of event logistics including venues, vendors, timelines, budgets, and onsite execution
  • Serve as a professional and composed onsite host, ensuring a seamless experience for customers, prospects, and executives
  • Manage multiple events and timelines simultaneously with strong attention to detail
  • Ensure events are delivered at a high standard and aligned with Medallia's brand and customer expectations

Sales Engagement & Internal Communication

  • Partner closely with Sales to identify and prioritize target accounts for events
  • Actively promote events internally to drive awareness and engagement across Sales team
  • Enable Sales with clear messaging and tools to support outreach and invitations
  • Help drive attendance and ensure the right mix of accounts and personas are represented
  • Coordinate closely with account teams on invitation strategy and follow-up

Measurement & Reporting

  • Track and report on event performance including attendance, account engagement, and pipeline impact
  • Partner with Sales to measure outcomes and identify follow-up opportunities
  • Communicate results and impact to stakeholders and leadership
  • Continuously improve programs based on performance and feedback

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with content, creative, product marketing, and partner teams to support events
  • Align event activities with broader campaigns and business priorities
  • Coordinate partner participation where relevant
  • Help identify opportunities to extend event impact through other marketing channels

Candidates based in the Tysons vicinity will be prioritized as this role is Hybrid, 3 days per week onsite.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience successfully managing B2B events, trade shows and/or VIP programs, specifically within the technology or professional services sectors.
  • Demonstrated project management and execution experience including end-to-end management for diverse event formats (e.g., executive dinners, trade shows, workshops), including budget oversight and vendor contract negotiation.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with Sales and Customers with marketing programs to drive attendance and lead follow-up.
  • Demonstrated experience with Salesforce or similar CRM system.
  • Ability to travel within North America (up to 30%) and stand/walk for extended periods during onsite event execution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Enterprise SaaS Industry experience
  • Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, sometimes unpredictable startup culture and environment.
  • Experience with Google Apps and Goalcast
  • Strategic Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with C-suite and senior leaders, both internally and externally.
  • Creative Problem-Solver: a proactive mindset with ability to multitask, prioritize, adapt and resolve logistical or interpersonal challenges in live-event environments.

Medallia is committed to equal pay and transparency. The annual base salary range for this position is $82,500 - $120,000. Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline and combines all of the distinct labor markets within the US. It is uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on a variety of factors. Medallia considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, candidate's work location, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, external market data, as well as, market and business considerations when making compensation decisions.
