Job Description

SUMMARY:


As Assistant Investment Officer/Portfolio Manager, you will learn and apply key foundational investment and portfolio management concepts. You will develop a current body of knowledge of economic and financial market trends and conditions and their impact on portfolio construction. You will also prepare presentations and compile supporting information for current clients in support of the portfolio management team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops knowledge and understanding of investments and portfolio management concepts


Assists portfolio managers, and management team, with day to day investment functions


Prepares and presents written and oral reports to support the portfolio management team


Develops proficiency in specialized portfolio management and reporting software


Completes tasks and assigned projects according to established completion dates


Participates in regular portfolio manager meetings and reviews the investment process and presentations for developmental purposes


Develops and maintains knowledge of Bank products and services, policies and guidelines.



OTHER REQUIREMENTS:


Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the Bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner.


Proficiency in mathematics, accounting, finance, and economics


Strong communication skills


Skills in relevant information technology to support portfolio management and business development responsibilities


Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal employees


Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
