Technology Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator Overview TEKsystems is hiring a Technology Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator to manage procurement, shipping, and logistics operations in a dynamic technology environment. This isn't a role where you'll follow the same routine every day-priorities shift, urgent requests come in, and you'll need to pivot quickly while keeping everything accurate and on track. If you're someone who stays organized when things get chaotic, can juggle competing demands without dropping the ball, and doesn't need someone managing your day for you, this role will be a great fit. What You'll Do * Coordinate purchasing and logistics to support technology projects and operations * Evaluate vendors based on cost, quality, and delivery timelines * Prepare and process purchase orders, requisitions, and vendor quotes * Track orders, shipments, deliveries, and inventory levels * Process invoices, payments, and returns for product and shipping vendors * Enter and receive all materials through internal purchasing systems (Hedberg) * Coordinate transportation providers and manage shipping arrangements * Review shipping documentation for accuracy and resolve discrepancies * Track and correct shipping errors or delays * Maintain accurate purchasing, inventory, and delivery records * Assist with surplus material disposal when needed * Support continuous improvement of purchasing and logistics processes What You Need * High school diploma or GED * Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, logistics, or supply chain operations * Demonstrated ability to stay accurate and organized when priorities change throughout the day * Experience managing your own workload without constant direction * Strong attention to detail-mistakes in orders, shipments, or documentation create costly problems * Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) * Clear written and verbal communication skills * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as required What Makes You Stand Out * Experience working with purchasing or ERP systems (Hedberg preferred) * Background coordinating shipments with third-party carriers * Previous success in fast-paced, in-office environments where you had to adapt quickly * Track record of maintaining accuracy under pressure Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Hartford, CT. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
