Could This Be For You?

Hanger is seeking a Scrum Master IV to support 1-2 cross functional product or platform teams in delivering secure, high impact software, data, and business capabilities. You'll facilitate agile practices, improve team flow and predictability, and support alignment to OKRs. You will partner closely with Product and Engineering, remove impediments, strengthen quality and security practices, and help teams deliver meaningful business outcomes. You may provide guidance to other Scrum Masters but do not hold program level or enterprise level accountability.

Your Impact

Team level coaching: Coach engineers and Product Owners to improve agile maturity and effective use of Scrum or Kanban practices; provide guidance to less experienced Scrum Masters when needed.
  • Facilitate team ceremonies: Lead Scrum events (planning, daily standups, reviews, retrospectives) and assist with coordinating cross team dependencies impacting assigned teams.
  • Support planning: Partner with Product and Engineering on team-level roadmaps, sprint planning, capacity insights, and release coordination.
  • Remove blockers: Identify systemic and team-level impediments; collaborate with stakeholders to propose options, tradeoffs, and timely decisions.
  • Enable transparency: Maintain dashboards (e.g., cycle time, throughput, WIP, defects) that support decision making and continuous improvement.
  • Improve flow & quality: Champion lean practices including WIP limits, work slicing, CI/CD enablement, test automation, and clear definitions of done/ready.
  • Support security & compliance: Reinforce practices that safeguard PHI/PII and adhere to HIPAA and company policies; partner with Security/Compliance as needed.
  • Facilitate change: Support adoption of process improvements (e.g., Kanban practices, working agreements, flow metrics) and contribute reusable templates or playbooks.
  • Communication: Provide clear and concise delivery status, risks, and insights to stakeholders using data, customer impact, and actionable recommendations.

Minimum Qualifications
