Pay Range: Actual pay may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for incentive compensation.

Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Vendor Management, will report to the Director of Portfolio Planning and is responsible for leading the Vendor Management function. This position will focus on technology related vendors, gathering requirements to source new vendors, audit vendor records and reviews to ensure compliance with Sorenson's policies as well as applicable federal regulations and industry standards. Working with cross-functional teams to ensure vendor reviews are being conducted as needed and in a timely fashion and that contract terms and spending are being adhered to. This position will also own all vendor management related policies, procedures, and business processes and is responsible for continual process improvement and policy review in partnership with Legal and Finance teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Champion vendor management processes and frameworks to nurture and support vendor relationships, control costs, and maximize efficiency
  • Provide a master list of all vendors and contact information for both vendor and Sorenson
  • Ensure proper and clear segmentation of vendors
  • Provide master list of all software purchased, including upcoming renewals, with tracking back to budget
  • Assist in identification of savings during contract and software renewal negotiations including evaluation of contract terms as well as usage and license counts
  • Develop and implement vendor performance metrics, delivery expectations as well as partnership opportunities for mutual benefit
  • Coordinate and monitor cross-functional risk management, privacy, legal compliance, and commercial legal contract reviews
  • Provide regular reporting on all vendor-related KPIs, to include (but not limited to) length of time it takes to process a business request, types of requests received, and the business unit the vendor will interact with
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure policies, procedures, and business processes are documented and reviewed regularly
  • Analyze spending against issued purchase orders and contracts to ensure contract terms are adhered to
  • Establish strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to develop, implement, and optimize vendor management processes, tools, and policies
  • Lead research and discovery of new vendors as required and in collaboration with software intake process
  • Ensure vendor alignment with strategic Company goals
  • Manage signed contracts to track spending across issued POs and ensure contract terms are being met
  • Other duties as assigned

This position manages employees and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees.

Education

Minimum 4 Year / Bachelors Degree Administration, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent experience

Preferred: Graduate Degree Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.

Experience

6 Years Technology vendor management, IT governance, or related roles

3 Years Working with suppliers and negotiating contracts

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Experience working with technology vendors, specifically cloud, saas and infrastructure partners
  • Proven success in establishing vendor management functions, processes, and metrics in a technology organization
  • Strong understanding of vendor scorecards, performance metrics, and technology management practices
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work closely with different organizations, departments, stakeholders, and executive team members
  • Excellent ability to understand business requirements and translate information into a business case for management approval
  • Ability to think strategically and identify opportunities across vendor landscape
  • Proven leadership skills in a matrixed environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills and ability to tell the story
  • Understanding of F&O or FP&A and procurement, including analyzing spending against issued Pos
  • Proficient in managing SLAs, KPIs and reporting to stakeholders
  • Experience with contract language and contract management
  • Knowledge of LogicGate or other Contract management software applications a plus
  • Knowledge of reporting software such as Power BI
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Proficiency in using vendor management software a plus
