Overview
Hudson Valley Credit Union is currently recruiting for the position of IT Release Manager . Primary Function: Plan, coordinate, and oversee the end-to-end lifecycle deployments of software releases, updates, and patches within an organization's technology environment. This role ensures that all releases are delivered on time, meet quality standards, and have minimal impact on business operations or disrupt our members' financial lives. The IT Release Manager acts as a bridge between development, quality assurance, and operations teams, facilitating effective communication and collaboration throughout the release process.
Responsibilities
- Release Planning: Manage the release transition collaborating with impacted departments to align with defined Release/Change process and define the strategic release calendar.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead "Go/No-Go" meetings and coordinate with DevOps, QA, Product Owners, and Third-Party Vendors (e.g., Fiserv, Jack Henry, or Alkami).
- Coordination: Collaborate with development, QA, infrastructure, and business teams to organize and execute release activities.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues related to releases; implement mitigation strategies to reduce impact. Maintain rigorous documentation for change control.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive release documentation, including plans, procedures, and post-release reports.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for release-related inquiries and updates; facilitate release readiness meetings.
- Issue Resolution: Manage and resolve release-related incidents, escalating when necessary.
- Post-Release Activities: Conduct release reviews, gather feedback, and support teams in addressing post-release issues. Continuously refine release management processes to increase efficiency, reliability, and transparency.
- Adhere to all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements. Participate in all required and recommended training and development including, but not limited to, Bank Secrecy Act training (BSA) and demonstrate attained knowledge. Participate on Credit Union teams, projects and strategic initiatives when the opportunity arises. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

- Responsible for regular and predictable attendance including punctuality.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) required
- Minimum 5 Years experience in application development and delivery required
- Minimum 2 years experience in release management, software development, or IT project management required
- ITIL v4, PMP, or Agile (Scrum Master) certifications preferred
