Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Manager, Operations for Dept of Medicine, Home Health Care, Inpatient Rehab Services, Nursing Dialysis Ops and Sleep Center.

In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting operational projects by contributing to the development, implementation and success of hospital projects and initiatives; including integration and merger activities. Works with leadership and administrative leaders to plan, develop, and evaluate new programs. Develops and trains departmental managers in preparing annual operational and capital budget requests. Analyzes monthly Income and Expense (I&E) reports, physician Relative Value Units (RVU), and departmental volume & Overtime (OT) usage for the Departments of Medicine, Home Health Care, Inpatient Rehab Services (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy & Speech), Nursing Dialysis Ops and the Sleep Center. Responsible for assisting in the daily operation of the Department of Medicine, Home Health Care, Inpatient Rehab Services (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy & Speech), Nursing Dialysis Ops and the Sleep Center goals of providing quality service to customers. Assures compliance with regulatory affairs agencies.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plans and manages all projects for the Departments of Medicine, Home Health Care, Inpatient Rehab Services (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy & Speech), Nursing Dialysis Ops and the Sleep Center and integrate efforts as determined by executive leadership.
  • Assembles and maintains project plans and documentation of project progress using standardized project management tools. Monitors project progress, tracking key milestones, using project management tools to meet stakeholders needs.
  • Responsible for the financial management of all cost centers under the Departments of Medicine, Home Health Care, Inpatient Rehab Services (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy & Speech), Nursing Dialysis Ops and the Sleep Center.
  • Overseas all aspects of operations Departments of Medicine, Home Health Care, Inpatient Rehab Services (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy & Speech), Nursing Dialysis Ops and the Sleep Center. Effectively plans & assumes a managerial role in both departments
  • Establishes and maintains strong relationships with providers.
  • Participates in departmental and institutional performance improvement activities that impact patient care services. Ensures patient satisfaction, operational efficiency, and implementation of strategic services to achieve service line quality, performance, and growth
  • Participates in the recruitment, orientation and development of staff. Performs annual employee job performance reviews. Participates in counseling and disciplinary actions of employees.
  • Change champion in the Departments of Medicine, Home Health Care, Inpatient Rehab Services (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy & Speech), Nursing Dialysis Ops and the Sleep Center for PeopleSoft Financial System.
  • Develops budget analysis, assures budgetary constraints, and provides justifications for budget variances.
  • Provides operational oversight in developing, recommending and implementing strategies to successfully expand the Departments of Medicine, Home Health Care, Inpatient Rehab Services (Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy & Speech), Nursing Dialysis Ops and the Sleep Center.
  • Assists the Vice President's with business plan development, strategic planning, and departmental operations.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify, you must have a Master's Degree in Business administration, Health Administration or related field. Minimum 5-7 years Business related experience. Excellent communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, organization, leadership skills. Superior and advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office especially Word, Excel, and Outlook. Proven track record of successful outcomes in developing budgets. Demonstrates a detailed understanding of the financial landscape in healthcare. Ability to build and promote positive working relationships with all stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:
Project/Process management certification, preferred. Knowledge of project management software, preferred

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $96,418.83 - $170,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
