Description Senior Civil Designer, Public Works Halff is seeking a Senior Civil Designer to join our Public Works team in our Atlanta, GA location. The ideal candidate would bring at least 8 years of experience in engineering, drafting & design, with a focus on Municipal Infrastructure & Public Works projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings & plans, working closely with engineers & other design professionals to ensure precision & accuracy. What will you do: Work as part of a design team under the direct supervision of a PE Oversight of CAD Operators, Technicians and Interns performing design and production work using CAD standards and procedures to create an effective team Create and modify detailed drawings and designs for engineering projects using CAD software Review and revise drawings to meet specifications and standards Collaborate closely with engineers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical drawings Prepare and maintain documentation, including material lists, quantity takeoffs, cut/fill reports, and project records Review and implement applicable design and/or industry standards, federal and state requirements, and safety regulations to ensure design compliance Train staff in Civil 3D software/Design Support multiple projects when needed and help ensure timely completion of assignments Actively participate in implementing and monitoring continuous improvement initiatives to improve project quality Review project design documents prepared by engineering specialists and ensure redlines are incorporated into document drafts What you will need: Drafting Certificate, Associate's, or Bachelor's Degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field is desired Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering, drafting and design, with a focus on municipal infrastructure/Public Works projects Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD and Civil3D Strong Attention to detail and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and ability to work in a team environment Knowledge of Public Infrastructure standards and regulations Ability to work independently as a self-motivator and as part of a team The Halff Public Infrastructure Advantage We are local We have depth of resources across the firm We have proven experience Learn more about Halff's Public Work services, check out some of our projects, and meet our team.
