Pay From: $100,000 per year

MUST:

Experienced Writing Instructor (non-academic envt.)

10 years min. of experience providing one-to-one academic writing, research, and critical-thinking support to university students.

3 years min. of graduate-level teaching experience in writing and critical thinking.

Demonstrated experience producing scholarly or professional written work, including a thesis, dissertation, conference paper, or academic publication.

Strong knowledge of academic writing fundamentals, including organization, grammar, style, citation, and revision.

Proven ability in critical thinking, argumentation, and analytical reasoning.

Working knowledge of teaching pedagogy and instructional best practices.

Proficiency in research methods and scholarly communication.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital collaboration tools.

Experience using learning management systems (e.g., Blackboard, Sakai), videoconferencing platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams), and originality-checking software (e.g., Turnitin, iThenticate).

Knowledge of academic integrity standards, plagiarism prevention, and ethical research practices.

Preferred Teaching awards or formal recognition for excellence in graduate-level instruction.

Preferred Experience supporting interdisciplinary or technical writing programs.

Preferred Experience contributing to program development, assessment, or academic research initiatives.

Preferred Advanced proficiency in developing instructional materials and online learning resources.

Demonstrated leadership in academic or instructional settings preferred

Bachelor's degree in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) field combined with a qualifying master's degree

Master's degree in English, Literature, Journalism, Communication, Rhetoric, International Policy, Public Policy, or a related writing-intensive field from an accredited institution (required).

DUTIES:

Provide writing instructions to NAVY personal in a one-on-one setting

Supporting interdisciplinary or technical writing programs related to federal contract subject matter
