MTSI is seeking a
Physical Security Specialist who will support Air Force Life Cycle Management Center customer at WPAFB, OH. The customer Program Office provides planning and acquisition of cost-effective, long-term critical U.S. Air Force capabilities in an Integrated Product Team structure. Working with the customer, the candidate will also interface with major defense contractors who supply critical defense capabilities. This candidate will support the standup of multiple sites and multiple locations for the Government customer. Some travel is expected. Up to 25%.
Responsibilities:
Duties to be independently executed include but are not limited to:
* Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
* Provide security support in accordance with applicable DoD and Air Force policies, directives, and regulations, including but not limited to DoDI 5200.01, DoDI 5200.02, DoDI 5220.22, AFI 16-1404, AFI 31-401, and related supplements and guidance.
* Oversee all aspects of SAP security, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. * Collaborate with Contractor Program Security Officers (CPSOs) on contract efforts to meet mission security requirements.
* Support Air Force SAP security compliance inspections and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
* Execute SAP/SCI security operations aligned with established directives and Security Classification Guides (SCGs).
* Conduct regular security risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and threats to program assets and information and develop and implement mitigation strategies to reduce risk to acceptable levels.
* Participate in program reviews, technical interchange meetings, and other program events to provide security expertise and guidance.
* Maintain a repository of all program security documentation, including plans, procedures, assessments, and training records.
* Support the development and execution of security-related exercises and simulations to test the effectiveness of security controls and procedures.
* Prepare and dispatch classified mail packages according to established guidelines.
* Protect classified materials, contractor proprietary information, and sensitive data during transmission/receipt via classified networks.
* Assist in enforcing two-person integrity requirements for uploading/downloading files on secure networks and storage of media.
* Document and track the lifecycle of classified media.
* Ensure the protection of all classified information and sensitive materials.
* Conduct entry/exit inspections of classified facilities.
* Issue visitor badges, create meeting rosters, and prepare facility access control badges.
* Escort uncleared visitors within secure facilities.
* Ensure prohibited items are not brought into classified areas.
Required qualifications:
* A minimum of 10 years of related experience is required. Prior experience as a Government SAP Security Officer (GSSO), Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO), Program Security Representative (PSR) or Facility Security Officer (FSO) highly desired.
* Knowledge of acquisition processes and frameworks, with specific experience integrating security into program contracts and deliverables.
* Familiarity with DoD security policies, including DoD 5205.7 Volumes 1-4.
* Industrial security expertise, with a proven ability to process DD254s, implement Program Protection Plans, and perform Security Classification Guide (SCG) reviews.
* Experience working with cross-functional teams in acquisitions, including Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
* Strong communication and advisory skills to work effectively with government program managers, engineers, and contractors.
Education Requirements:
* Master's Degree and 10+ years of experience. Bachelor's Degree and 18+ years of experience can considered in lieu of Master's
Clearance Requirements:
* Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI and SAP eligibility.
