Job Title: Route Sales Professional

26-02455 Position Summary
The Route Sales Professional will be selling and delivering fresh baked products to retail customers, restaurants, and institutions. The primary focus is to maximize sales through strong customer relationships, effective business practices, and world-class market execution, while providing exceptional service that exceeds customer expectations. Key Responsibilities
Analyze sales data to drive strategic decisions, brand growth, and increased sales within assigned territories
Establish and maintain effective customer relationships to maximize sales and ensure client retention
Drive in-store excellence by selling displays, setting racks per customer guidelines, and executing promotions
Identify and pursue growth opportunities, including acquiring new customers, expanding shelf space, and generating new leads
Execute world-class merchandising and ensure proper rotation of all products for optimal quality and freshness
Introduce new products and services to maximize sales and shelf space within existing accounts
Maintain accurate inventory counts, place product orders using handheld devices, and service customers according to established frequency patterns
Utilize order management tools to place optimal orders, ensuring adequate and fresh product availability
Conduct daily route settlement procedures, accounting for all products, invoices, and cash
Drive company route trucks safely and efficiently, including loading and unloading products
Complete DOT logs, submit documentation, paperwork, and deposits on time
Promote and live the company's safety principles and beliefs, working to eliminate unsafe conditions and achieve zero incidents
Uphold company values including respect for people, continuous improvement, and exceeding customer and consumer expectations
Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Work Experience
High School Diploma or GED preferred
3-5 years of experience in Direct Store Delivery (DSD) or direct sales preferred
Previous route sales experience is a plus
Combination of training and experience resulting in demonstrated competency may be considered
