As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with calm, professional customer service. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to calls for assistance, and document observations while working as part of a reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, unauthorized persons, and/or disruptive behavior; notify clinical staff, management, and/or law enforcement as required by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards, and promptly report maintenance and operational concerns through the appropriate channels.
  • Monitor access points and sensitive areas, verify identification and/or authorization when required, assist with visitor management, and help maintain orderly movement through high-traffic areas such as entrances, lobbies, and/or emergency department approaches.
  • Carry and maintain assigned duty weapon and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements, training, and post orders; complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and/or evidence documentation using approved systems.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Having a state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Having X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Having customer service experience is preferred.
  • Having alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
